Red Carpet Country is looking for photos of the unique attractions, landscapes, etc., of this 16 county area of Oklahoma for the purpose of promoting Oklahoma’s Red Carpet Country as a tourist destination.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  1. A photo submitted by an individual must have been taken by the person entering the photo.  Deadline for submitting photos is August 1, 2010 (postmark date).
  1. All photos submitted become the property of Red Carpet Country Association. NOTICE:  After one-year from contest display date when photo was entered, for a period of four (4) months, photos may be picked up at the RCC office or returned to the photographer at their expense.
  1. All photos must be taken in Red Carpet Country (Alfalfa, Beaver, Blaine, Cimarron, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Kay, Kingfisher, Major, Noble, Texas, Woods, and Woodward Counties) within the years of 2009 and 2010.  Mail photos to: RED CARPET COUNTRY, P.O.   1. Entry forms and unlimited use forms must be completely filled out at time of entering.  An entry form and unlimited use form is required for each entry. Please make copies as needed.  DO NOT TAPE ENTRY/RELEASE FORMS TO PHOTOS.
  1. Individuals may enter ONE photo in each category in their division.

Divisions:
PROFESSIONAL -those who work in media, have sold photos, work in photographic studios and/or earn any money through photography;
ADULT -over 18 years of age;
SCHOOL AGE- grades K through 12
Categories:
Seasonal; Wildlife; Wildflowers; Events/Activities in Red Carpet Country; Lifestyle in Red Carpet Country; Landscapes; Historic Buildings; Children; Golden-age; Human Interest; Hobbies; Pets; Other.

  1. All entries must be 3”x 5” to 8”x 10” in size and MATTED for suitable display.  Only matted pictures will be accepted.  NO PICTURE FRAMES. DO NOT WRAP PHOTOS.

PRIZES:

  1. A first, second, and third place will be awarded in each category and division.
  1. An overall prize of first ($250), second ($125), and third ($75) will be awarded, with only one over-all cash prize to be awarded to an individual.

Judges for the contest will include photography experts and a Red Carpet Country Board of Director.

September 18, 2010, Wakita Bi-Centennial Bldg, 200 South Spruce Street, Wakita OK.
