Aline hosts the Fall Fair on the second weekend in October. The celebration is kicked off Friday evening by firing a 100-pound anvil more than 100 feet into the air. Afterwards, watch a movie under the stars. Saturday enjoy the parade, free soup cooked in a kettle, tractor pull and cake walk.
Just south east of Aline on state highway 8 is the original Sod House. At one time thousand of sod houses dotted the plains of North America. This Sod House was built by Marshal McCully in 1894. Today the museum encloses the original “Soddy” and is operated by the Oklahoma Historical Society. This is the only one still standing in Oklahoma that was built by a homesteader.
