Nightmare in the Country in Woodward this October

Category: General — Location: , — Posted @ 9:01 am on September 17, 2009

PlanetWoodward.com announced recently its newest attraction coming to Woodward, OK this October. “Nightmare in the Country” will be the premier destination for all haunted house fans this Halloween.

“Nightmare in the Country’s” presentation will feature “The Haunted Barn” the ever so creepy “GRIM Woods” and finally the spookiest ride of your life through the “Petrifying Forest and Cemetery of Chills”

This fall haunted house buffs and aficionados will not be forced to drive miles to larger metro areas just to get those spine tingling and bone chilling scares. “Nightmare in the Country covers 5 acres and is certain to provide the frights of the big city haunts and then some. Kenton Baird director of ‘Nightmare’ states “we are striving to produce that guttural fear that only the seclusion of the country and miles from the cities can create. This will be a Halloween show unlike any Woodward, Northwest Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle and Southwest Kansas has seen”. ‘Nightmare’ will feature a cast of over 25 actors, security and support staff.

While ‘Nightmare in the Country is designed for ages 12 and over, the folks at ‘Nightmare’ have not forgotten about the little goblins. “Lil’ Spooks” non scare events will take place on Saturdays from 3 PM till dusk.

Nightmare in the Country opens October 8th at dusk and continues every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Halloween.

Directions will be posted on www.nightmareinthecountry.com in September. Special performances are available on private nights for groups of 50 or more.
