Oklahoma Lives on……Through Photography

Plains Indians & Pioneers Museum will be exhibiting photography of Elise Solloway and Nancy Salisbury from May 9, to May 30, 2009.

Ms. Solloway a retired school teacher has won awards at county and state photography contests, and has had photographs published in various publications, and web sites. Her subject material ranges from landscapes, plants, animals, people, sporting events, and historic buildings. She uses a 35mm and digital camera, and prefers digital.

Ms. Salisbury studied art with Dord Fitz and everything she learned she applied to photography. She has been published in travel magazines, Western Horseman, Horse & Rider, Quarter Horse Journal, Farm Journal, and various other publications. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma, and other professional organizations. She has taught beginning photography at Woodward’s Vo-Tech, and counseled students on photography as a career.
